Shelter for teens to open today

TRAVERSE CITY — Pete's Place, a shelter for runaway and homeless teenagers, is set to open today.

The shelter is operated by Third Level Crisis Center and is at the same site as the newly opened Goodwill Inn homeless shelter at 2943 Keystone Road in Traverse City.

It will serve youths 14 to 17 years old in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties.
