Northport Promise information online

NORTHPORT — A new Web site offers information and fundraising details about the Northport Promise initiative.

The site, www.northportpromise.com, was created by volunteers on the steering committee working to set up the program.

The Northport Promise would pay college tuition for students who graduate from Northport Public School and attend any public post-secondary school in Michigan. It is modeled after the Kalamazoo Promise, a similar effort in Kalamazoo Public Schools.
