Norse capture title

PELLSTON — Suttons Bay defeated Charlevoix 25-18, 27-25 Saturday to win the Pellston Volleyball Invitational.

The Norse beat Kingsley 21-25, 25-16, 15-13 in the quarterfinals and Boyne City 27-25, 17-25, 15-7 in the semifinals.

In pool play, Suttons Bay beat Atlanta 25-11, 25-9 and Central Lake 25-17, 25-14 and split with Charlevoix 20-25, 25-15 and Harbor Light 25-14, 24-25.

The Norse were led by Anna Pryor (50 of 51 serving with 3 aces, 137 assists, 6 kills, 19 digs), Crystal Dittrich (50 of 52 serving with 6 aces, 52 digs), Maggie Walters (49 of 51 serving with 8 aces, 5 assists, 80 kills, 8 blocks, 7 digs), Charlotte Stowe (21 of 26 serving with 8 aces, 31 kills, 38 digs), Fran Belanger (51 of 54 serving, 6 assists, 9 kills, 31 digs), Adrianna Guillen (69 of 71 serving with 5 aces, 34 digs).
