Bums shut out Paints

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Four Traverse City pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout as the Beach Bums defeated Chillicothe 2-0 in Frontier League baseball action Saturday evening.

Bryan Rembisz (5-0) earned the win for Traverse City, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out four in six innings.

He was followed by relievers Matt Dillard (one inning, no hits), Jared Locke (2/3 inning, one hit) and Tyler Meigs (1&1/3 innings, no hits). Meigs earned his seventh save.

The Bums (36-45) scored the only two runs of the game in the seventh inning. With one out, Sam Orr walked and scored on Zack Kalter's double. Kalter advanced to third on a wild pitch and cruised home on Jeff Brown's single.

Kalter and Curtis Ledbetter had two hits each.
