Police recover stolen property

VANDERBILT — Police recovered about $20,000 in stolen property that's allegedly tied to three breaking and entering cases in Vanderbilt.

State police arrested Gerald Meirthew, 17, of Vanderbilt, on three counts of breaking and entering a residence. Officials said an arrest of a 19-year-old Vanderbilt man is expected as the investigation continues.

Several dirt bikes, a four-wheeler ATV, tools, clothing and other items were allegedly stashed in various places around Otsego County.
