The Beach Bums will be giving a limited number of those items away free during the team’s three-game homestand this week. The first 1,000 fans through the gate tonight will receive baseball caps. The first 1,000 kids (14-under) through the gate Thursday will get a baseball glove. The first 1,000 fans through the gate Friday will receive a T-shirt. In addition, there will be a fireworks celebration after tonight’s game and another after Friday’s contest. In fact, the team will have fireworks after every Friday night home game during the season. The Beach Bums will also offer free soft drinks to fans who come with four or more people in a car. There’s a $2 parking fee for all cars at Wuerfel Park on game nights. But fans who carpool and bring four or more people in their vehicle will receive a voucher for a 16-ounce Pepsi product for each person in the car. "We want people to come to the game and have as enjoyable an experience as possible," said John Wuerfel, managing member and CEO of the Beach Bums. "Part of that is being able to get people in and out of the stadium as easily as possible on game days. We are encouraging everyone to carpool to lighten the number of cars traveling on the US-31 corridor when we have games." Lawn seats are still available for tonight’s game. Reserved and lawn seats are available for Thursday’s game. Reserved seats are $10 and lawn seats are $6.
