Treece wins three events at GVSUALLENDALE - Glen Lake's Marissa Treece won three events in the 36-team Grand Valley State University indoor meet on Thursday.Treece won the pole vault by clearing 9-6, claimed the 800 run in 2:27.5 and the 1600 in 5:27.6. Katie Christiansen added a fourth-place finish in the high jump for the Lakers with a leap of 15-6½. Fife Lake musher 6th in GCI raceFIFE LAKE - Ken Chezik of Fife Lake took sixth place in the adult unlimited speed class of the GCI Open North American Championships sled dog race.Chezik finished the 67.7-mile course in a total time of 3:42:38. Blues tune-up for spring in GeorgiaSAVANNAH, Ga. - The Traverse Bay Blues RFC spent last weekend competing in the 2006 St. Patrick's Day Rugby Tournament held in Savannah, Georgia. The Blues played in the tournament with 73 other teams from across the world and went 0-2-1 for the weekend.In two weeks the Blues travel to Detroit to take on the Cleveland Rovers in the first round of the national playoffs.
