Down 12, Buckley rallies to beat Glen Lake in two overtimes

      MAPLE CITY - Buckley rallied from 12 points down in the fourth quarter as the visiting Bears topped Glen Lake 65-59 in double overtime.
      Buckley's Chad Allen hit two free throws with three seconds left in regulation to force the first extra session.
      Justin Weaver scored 10 of the Bears' 15 points in the second overtime.
      Weaver - who had just two points at halftime - finished with 31 points for Buckley (3-4). Allen added 13 points and Shawn Weir 10.
      Jason Popa had 21 points and Dennis Smith 14 for Glen Lake (1-5).

Flushing 67
TC Central 48

      A quick start helped power undefeated Flushing to a 67-48 victory over Traverse City Central on Tuesday night.
      Flushing hit four 3-pointers to lead 24-10 after the opening period. Flushing (5-0) led 37-20 at halftime and 57-39 after three periods.
      "They went outside and inside on us," Central coach Jon Constant said. "They gave us all we wanted from the start."
      Robbie Harman had 15 points and Mason Husby 11 for TC Central (3-4).
      Nate Cox had 21 points, Ricky Rouse 18 and Garret Konuszwski 13 for Flushing.
      The Central JV posted a 46-38 victory. David Harman had 18 points and Kelly Long 11 for Central (4-3).
     
TC Christian 82
TC Home School 42

      Traverse City Christian led 19-2 after one quarter against TC Home School en route to its first win of the season, 82-42.
      Matt Yeiter had 18 points while Gannon O'Brien and Michael Rudolph each had 16 for TC Christian (1-4). O'Brien added nine rebounds and six blocks for the Sabres, which host Leland on Friday to open Cherryland Conference play.
      Matt Dunkley had 12 points and Adam Brown 11 for the Bulldogs.
      TC Christian (1-4) won the JV game 57-35 as Nathan Banks had 22 points and Jon Murray 14.
     
Kingsley 65
McBain NMC 45

      Joe Zenner scored 21 points to lead Kingsley past McBain Northern Michigan Christian 65-45 in a non-conference contest.
      Ken Sedlacek added 15 points, 5 assists and 3 steals for the 5-0 Stags. Caleb Nickerson chipped in 11 points. Kingsley led 13-9, 25-16 and 40-30 at the quarter breaks.
      Frank Ebels and Shane Pluger netted 13 points for Northern Christian.
     
Suttons Bay 73
Northport 57

      Trailing 10-4 in the first quarter, Suttons Bay went on a 22-2 run en route to a 73-57 non-conference win over Northport.
      Tim Wheelock scored 17 points, Cale Forton 15 and Dan McKisson 10 for the Norsemen, who led 37-29 at half. Wheelock also had 10 rebounds and Forton 7 for Suttons Bay (2-3).
      Justin Harter's 13 points paced Northport (4-2). Drew Mitchell added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Cody Brown 11 points and eight rebounds.
     
Pine River 71
Mesick 40

      Chris Weaver's 22 points powered Pine River past Mesick 71-40 in a non-conference game.
      Lucas Bowman contributed12 points for the Bucks. Jason Nolf had 17 points and 9 rebounds for Mesick (1-5).
     
Benzie Central 82
Elk Rapids 52

      Benzie Central opened a 21-5 first quarter lead and cruised to an 82-52 non-conference win over Elk Rapids.
      Jarred Lorenc netted 20 points, Ryan Davis 16 and Dan Looney 15 for the 4-4 Huskies.
      Brandon Isenhart led the Elks with 15 points. Mason Yankee added 13.
     
Boyne Falls 68
DeTour 50

      Boyne Falls closed out the first half with a 16-2 run en route to a 68-50 triumph over DeTour.
      The Loggers (4-1) outscored DeTour 24-12 in the second quarter to break open a tight game.
      Trevor Matelski had 20 points and Jim Gross 11 points, six assists and five steals for Boyne Falls. Jeff Miller pulled down 10 rebounds.
