Wireless Internet available at TC park

TRAVERSE CITY — Wireless Internet service is available at Traverse City State Park.

The state Department of Natural Resources said the park along U.S. 31 North in East Bay Township is among several state parks and harbors offering "WiFi" wireless Internet access. DNR officials said Michigan's park system is the first in the country to offer the service at its outdoor facilities.

WiFi service is also available at the state marina on Mackinac Island, at the state parks in Ludington, Holland and Grand Haven and at a handful of "Welcome Centers" operated by the state Department of Transportation.
