October 12, 2005Deer hunting permits availableFROM STAFF REPORTSEMPIRE - Permits are available for the North Manitou Island deer hunt within Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Applications are being accepted for the Oct. 17-23 muzzleloader season, the first firearm season Oct. 23-30 and the second firearm season Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.
