Water, zoning laws to be discussed

FROM STAFF REPORTS

ALDEN - Traverse City attorney Chris Bzdok will discuss water and zoning laws at a public forum Wednesday, sponsored by the Helena Township Planning Commission.
The event begins at 7 p.m. at the township community center, 8751 Helena Road.
Bzdok will touch on issues such as numbers of boats on the waterfront, shoreline greenbelts and decks, and sea wall and drainage control issues. Public questions will be welcomed.
Helena planning commission chairman Bob Metric said the board wants to update the township's zoning ordinance, enhance enforcement and eliminate ordinance provisions that cannot be enforced.
