Keweenaw County and Michigan Nature Association swap land

FROM STAFF REPORTS

EAGLE RIVER - Keweenaw County and the Michigan Nature Association have agreed on a land swap.
County commissioners approved the deal Wednesday. The association will receive just over 24 acres in Eagle Harbor Township north of Brockway Mountain Drive, while the county gets 8 acres to the southeast.
The county won't lose taxable income in the deal, which will preserve snowmobile access to Brockway Mountain, commissioner Don Keith said.
