Petoskey man faces felony child porn charges

FROM STAFF REPORTS

PETOSKEY - Emmet sheriff's investigators made an arrest in what Sheriff Peter Wallin called the largest child pornography case his department has handled.
More than 1,000 items of child pornographic material were recovered from the computer of a 52-year-old Petoskey man, Wallin said. The man faces felony charges of distributing or promoting child pornography and using a computer in the commission of a crime. His name is not being released pending arraignment, Wallin said.
The man was already in the Emmet jail at the time of the child pornography warrants, awaiting court proceedings on 16 counts of felony credit card fraud, Wallin said.
