Decker, Lindsay run to winsFROM STAFF REPORTSTRAVERSE CITY -- Former Traverse City Central standout Mike Decker ran to a two-minute victory in the 10-kilometer portion of Saturday morning's Big Foot Snowshoe Race at Timber Ridge. Decker, 28, finished in 50 minutes, 26 seconds. "Last year it was colder; the snow was harder packed," Decker said. "This year it was like running on grainy beach sand." Decker was followed by Jason Proctor (52:26) and Lee Shaw (52:48). Julie Jenkins won the women's 10K (1:08:00), followed by Kelly Fidler (1:10:15) and Sara Williams (1:12:02). Herbert Lindsay ran to victory in the 5K race. The 50-year-old Lindsay won in 27:18. Josh Johnson was second (28:52) and Donnie Anderson third (30:12).
