December 28, 2005TC Central JV captures Leland Invitational titleTraverse City Central's JV team beat the TC West freshmen in the final of the Leland JV Invitational.The Trojans (12-0) topped the West freshmen 17-25, 25-20, 15-9 to win the title. In pool play, the Central JVs topped Glen Lake, Suttons Bay and the West freshmen. The Trojans beat St. Francis 25-11, 25-15 in the semifinals. Katie Holden had 35 assists and nine kills for the Central JVs. Janna Tucker added 12 kills and 16 digs and Laura Stepke 13 kills and 15 digs. The TC East freshmen went 2-2 in pool play. Haley Engle had 20 kills and Rachel Mazure five for TC East (4-2). Dori Lansbach had a strong all-around tournament.
